the many adventures of Jake

Jake is such a funny little guy!

On Monday, we were going shopping and he had to have this pink purse with him. He would even stop for a second and put it back up on his shoulder.

On Tuesday, we went to Wal Mart and found these cute Thomas shoes. He kept saying Choo Choo Choo Choo. It was the cutest thing. When we got home, after his nap, he had to wear the shoes. T- shirt, diap and shoes....what a great outfit. Today, I couldn't find his shoes when we were going to pick up Madison. I said, "Jake, where are your shoes?" He usually answers, "Don't know," but today he said "Box." He then went to the shoe box that was in the toy corner and low and behold he put his shoes back in the box and put the lid on. At least he knew where they were.

Toning after dinner we had chocolate cake...

need I say more!

And on a Rachel note...Scott got me an i pod shuffle for Christmas. The girls love to go on the computer and listen to the songs I've downloaded to i tunes. Rachel has since announced that she wants an i pod for her birthday. I found this list by the computer. I saw her the other day working on it. She goes through the tunes on the computer and writes down the songs she likes.... I personally think its cute she likes "Hey Ladies" from the Beastie Boys..."Let me clear my throat" and all the others. Notice she has labeled it Rachel i pod...

Oh, what a night!

It has been one funny night at our house!

First let me preface my story by saying I forgot to buy Jake diapers yesterday. We had a package of size 5, but our little string bean is only in a 4, but we had to use them because we were not about to let Jake go cammando. Anyway... Rachel informed me that Jake smelled, so I took him upstairs to change him. As I changed him I noticed that he had a paper towel stuffed down his diaper. Now, I have no idea when he would have done this, how he got a hold of a paper towel, or why... This might not sound funny to anyone else, but I just can't wait to see what other "treasures" I will find in his new hiding place. I think I have watched to many kiddie shows...all I can think of are the Rugrats and what they stick down their diapers!

We are having a sleepover in honor of MLK day (no school tomorrow! YES!) I had to snap these pictures. I cannot remember if it was my mom or Scott's mom that said Heavenly Father made them so cute while they were sleeping so that you would fall in love with them again after a long day!

( I came downstairs and Rachel is lying across her bed, not up and down....crazy girl, she has always been a mover when she sleeps!)

Sunday wears....

Don't the girls look so cute. Stacey bought them Valentine's outfits and they had to wear them to church today.

I know this sounds silly, but after volunteering at Rachel's school on Friday I realized that I needed to spend some more time on the girls hair. Part of it was that Scott got Rachel ready for school that day (he was sweet and let me sleep) and he didn't brush her hair. Well, he tried to, but Rachel freaked out when he tried to brush it because it had some knots. Not that any of the other girls hair looked particularly great, but I remember thinking that the girls who had done hair when I was in school were cool ( I didn't really care, just brush and go) ....anyway...living vicariously through my children isn't bad...;-0

So here is what we came up for today....

Now, we will see what happens when its 6:45 am and I am tired.... YIKES!

Madison got a CTR ring from her Primary Class today. She was so excited!

Busy Signals Stink

So, while I am typing this I am trying to get Scott Orioles tickets through a presale offer they sent me in the mail. I think that everyone in Baltimore is as well. I HATE BUSY SIGNALS. This reminds me of trying to get BNL tickets when Stacey and I first started going to shows. They didn't have internet ordering so EVERYONE in the fan club would try to call at the same time. Dial...busy signal...hangup....redial...busy signal...hangup....(about 350 times)....

Okay enough whining....must get back to redialing.....

This little piggy didn't go to market!

I don't have a picture...I can barely stand the thought of having to look at it tomorrow, but today I had an ingrown toenail partially removed.

I think I psyched myself out, because my stomach was doing flip flops in the waiting room. Since I decided to do it yesterday, I have heard at least 7 different ingrown toenail stories and they ran the gammut (is that a word) in intensity and pain. I was very scared when I went in, but the doctor was very nice and the nurses put me at ease. They probably thought I was crazy, because when I get nervous I tend to chatter a lot. The only "pain" I was in was for about 5 seconds it stung when the medicine went in. Ask me tomorrow when the numbing wears off and I am sure I will have a different story to tell! The best part was the doc said I could still get a pedicure next weekend during girls weekend out. He just said I could only get 9 toes done instead of 10...wonder if they will give me a discount? ;-)

Other than that .... the kids are great. Jake got a cute hair cut. The last time we went, we went to the student shop and she was nervous so she didn't really cut the back of his hair. He was starting to look like Billy Ray Cyrus. Now he looks like my little boy again.
